Hey guys. I know I have a lot to catch up on, but I've been busy lately. University started again and I've been working on two stage plays at once. Things are a bit up in the air at the moment.

Well, I'm back from my holiday and I had a great time in the historic city of Bath. Here's a write-up of some of the highlights, partly to make the journal interesting for once, but also as makeshift notes for a fanfiction I'm going to work on.

Monday- Traveling to Bath. My idiot sat nav brings me down the wrong through and so I have to go through a tolling station...twice. After a long drive, I finally navigate the narrow country roads of the village outside of Bath, which is where my hotel was located. After unpacking and washing up, I went into the city to tread the waters of the Therme Bath Spa. With it's open air rooftop Hot spring, offering amazing views of the city, especially at night. Then I got lost on the way back to the hotel a couple of times, which made me realize- for city-breaks, it's better to take the train and leave the car at home.

Tuesday- Sight-seeing. First port of call was the Roman Baths. Seeing all that ancient history and being in the presence of structures 1000's of years old. And learning about Roman curses. Hoo boy, these people didn't take kindly to people taking their cloak by mistake.
Then there was the art gallery, the fashion museum, the Jane Austin center. All in a single day. Then got to photograph the beautiful architecture as the sun was setting. It reminded me so much of that holiday I took to Rome. Then in the evening, I supped at the Hop Pole, a 13th century pub just outside the hotel.

Wednesday- On this day I had pre-booked a ticket to see Attack On Titan: The Roar Of Awakening at the Cinema De Lux in Bristol, since I knew I was going to be a short distance away. That was my evening planned, but for the morning, I decided to take an excursion to Castle Combe- said to be England's prettiest village. It was apparently used for filming scene's from the Speilberg movie The War Horse. Again, beautiful buildings in a tranquil forest setting...even though the country roads around there were even narrower and I ended up face to face with the widest tractor the farmer could get his hands on. Yeah, not the best vehicle for roads that narrow.

But I managed to return to my hotel without incident and got ready for an evening in Bristol. Catching a train on the Great Western Railway, I followed the directions to the cinema, hoping that I'd be abnle to catch the last bus the hotel, when I got back to Bath. I found the cinema and a hell of a lot of restaurants. I browsed the coffee shops for a few hours, while I was waiting, while trying to decide which one to have dinner in, before the movie. I decided on GO!Sushi. It seemed appropriate, since I was seeing an anime movie. But, it was Attack On Titan, so maybe I should have gone with the Spud-U-Like...

Anyway, the movie was great. One of the highlights was when the whole auditorium erupted with laughter at Reiner's "Got to marry her..."

The movie let out at 21:20pm. Plenty of time, so I wait for the bus to the station...which didn't turn up even though according to the bus schedule, with was due any second.
So I decided not to leave it to chance and caught a taxi. Go to the station with 5 minutes to spare before the train arrived. Got back to Bath, dashed over at just the right moment to catch the 22:20 bus back to the hotel.
Long way to travel just to see a movie, but it was one hell of an adventure.

Thursday- to cap off the holiday, I booked a trip to Stonehenge. But when I got into Bath I had a couple of hours to kill, so I went a a breif walk. I visited Bath Abbey and Sally Lunn's House- supposedly the oldest house Bath, where I got to try a Sally Lunn Bun, with delicious Chocolate Butter...:drools:

Then it was off to Stonehenge. The history of the area and the sense of mystery about the stones and why they were placed were quite inspiring.

In the evening I had my last meal in the hotel restaurant. Duck leg, creamy leek mash and red wine sauce...delicious...and filling.

Friday- Drove home, uploaded my photos to facebook and posted this on DA. It's good to be back.

On Holiday

1 min read
Today I'm off down south for a week's holiday in the city of Bath. So much to do there. I'm going to have a hard time fitting everything in that I want to do.
----

Check out this Harvest Moon spoof of "You're Welcome" that my friend sings and I wrote the lyrics to.

You may remember some lyrics I wrote for the Song "You're Welcome" from Disney's Moana, to be sung by the Harvest Goddess. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to sing it, so I reworked the lyrics to be sung by the Harvest King instead.

I asked my friend Trancelover1992 if he'd have a go at singing it, and here is the finished result-
