Hey, remember this?

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sonic, I did two things:

The first- Play through the original Mega Drive game with a couple of beers.

The second- a piece of fan art to commemorate the occasion. I wanted to do something showing the different media he's appeared in (Games, AoSTH, SatAM, Underground, Fleetway, Archie and Sonic X). Sonic was originally supposed to be looking towards Cream, explaining that "It was the nineties! All the blue hedgehogs styled their quills like that!" but, alas, I goofed, and so he ended up playing the flamboyant, fourth-wall-breaking rascal we know and love.

You know, this is actually the most characters I’ve ever drawn together in a single picture. Longest I’ve spent working on one too. I started this around 7pm and it’s now almost 1am.

So, all in all, here's to twenty years of Speed, Spinning and Chillidogs!

EDIT: Drat. I forgot to add something from the OVA. So to fix this I added Knuckles awesome hat. Looks good on you, Cream!
